Phil Canning

Phil Canning brings decades of broad experience in our industry sectors to the chief executive role, having served for 14 years as the CEO and Managing Director of Energy Power Systems Australia (EPSA),  the CAT engine dealer for Australia and Papua New Guinea.  During Phil’s time leading EPSA, the company achieved significant revenue growth and the build out of a large rental business.  Much like our business, EPSA is a multi-location dealership operation that supports a wide variety of businesses across Australian industries.

Phil started his career as a Diesel Mechanic with Mercedes Benz, which led to a 20 year career within Daimler.  During that time, Phil held a variety of roles of increasing responsibility, with postings across Australia and significant international responsibilities. This culminated in the role of General Manager for Sales, Engineering and Marketing for the MTU – Detroit Diesel business.  Throughout his career, Phil has demonstrated a commitment to continuous improvement, both personally and organisationally.  Following his apprenticeship and time as a Diesel Technician, Phil went on to study engineering and business.
